BlackBerry at last annunciated tablets previously called BlackPad about rumors. Latest Blackberry Tablet is called Playbook, on the screen 7 “(1024 × 600), dual-core processors, support for WebKit, Java, Open GL, Flash 10.1 and micro-USB connector that does not exist on the iPad. The tablet also supports H.264, MPEG4, WMV and can even display 1080p Full HD video but is derived based on screen resolution.
Blackberry hardware specs are also quite impressive Playbook where 1GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB RAM, micro-HDMI outputs, there is even a front camera (3MP) and rear (5MP) which is also able to record HD video and still images.
Demonstration tablet Playbook appears very cool and appears to make an tablet supported Android to be less okay once again because the user-interface features that seem far more suitable for tablets, instead of using a tablet such as “great phone”.
RIM is promoting the fact that the Playbook support “multitasking” is real (unlike Apple which is more limited) and can run Flash 10.1, which means “a full web experience”.
RIM also said that the tablet is more secure and position the tablet Playbook as “professional” at this time.
The tablet is a great announcement for the rim, and that will shake the tablet market. Unfortunately the price has not been determined and you can guess, this will be a major factor affecting sales. Possible Blackberry Playbook price is around 500 USD – 1000 USD.
Presumptively these will comprise expensive tablet Playbook than iPad tablet because it has been positioned as a “pro”. On the software side, RIM has taken serious steps: the company announced advertising platform and completeness of the SDK developers and tool support. (Source)
